SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF THE GCISD EX-OFFICIO MEMBER OF
THE PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
RECOMMENDATION:
The Board of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District recommends that
the City Council approve Mr. Leon Leal, 3012 Redbird Lane, to serve as the GCISD
Board ex-officio member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board for a period of one
year.
BACKGROUND:
The GCISD ex-officio member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board position has
been vacant since 2003 due to all the members of the GCISD Board residing in
Colleyville. Two Grapevine residents, Mr. Jorge Rodriquez and Mr. Leon Leal, were
elected to the GCISD Board in May of 2008. Mr. Leal has served on the Grapevine
Parks & Recreation Advisory Board since June 2004 but did not reapply this year.
