GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
4R THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO CONTRACT FC?R
PORTABLE TOILET RENTAL AND MAINTENANGE
THR4UGH AN ESTABLISHED INTERLQCAL AGREEMENT
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a lacal gavernment in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271
and Texas Gavernment Code, Chapter 791 to en#er into an interlocal agreement with
other qualified agencies in the State af Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Ci#y of Arlington, Texas is a qualified agency as authorized by
Texas Local Gavernment Code, Chapter 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791;
and
WNEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has established an interlocal agreement
with the Ci#y of Arlington, Texas and wishes to utilize an established contract for partable
toilet rental and maintenance meeting all State of Texas bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arlington, Texas has es#ablished a contract no. RFB #16-
0109 for portable toilet rental and maintenance with MMG; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has a need far portable toilet rental and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, all constitutional and statutory prerequisites for the approval of this
resolution have been met, including but not limited to the Open Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the adoption of this resolution to be in the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
N{}W,THEREF�RE, BE IT RESO�VED BY THE CITY CQUNCIL{�F THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and carrect
and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City af Grapevine autharizes the contract
for portable toilet rental and maintenance with MMG Building and Constructian Services
thraugh an interlocal agreement with the City of Arlington, Texas in an estimated budgeted
amount of$100,000.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is autharized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of portable toilet rental and maintenance.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of November, 2016.
