SUBJECT: ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of an Adopt-A-Road agreement with the L.W. & Imogene Parker Family for
College Street, from Main Street to State Highway 114. The Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board approved the agreement at the January 17, 2008 meeting. A copy of
the agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of the project area for the program.
The cost of the signage is approximately $150 and would come from the Grounds
Maintenance account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and
staff recommend approval of the agreement
