A RESOLUTION • THE CITY • GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A REAL ESTATE CONTRACT AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the enhancement of the local economy is in the best interest of
citizens
• the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of the Grapevine 4B Economic Development Corporati
and the City Council have approved the expenditure • 4B economic development fun
for the acquisition • an approximately 185 acre tract • undeveloped prope
erty • rty in t
City (the "Prop"); and •
WHEREAS, the City's acquisition of the Property will serve to assist the City to
meet the goals approved by the voters in authorizing the creation of the Corporation;
and
WHEREAS, the City's acquisition of the Property will serve to promote new or
expanded business enterprises, including but not limited to entertainment, convention,
tourist and exhibition facilities, amphitheaters, concert halls, parks, open space,
restaurants, parking facilities, and with roads, streets and water and sewer facilities (the
"Project"); and
',TVHEREAS, the Board held public meetings and public hearings regarding t
Project on December 12 and 17, 2013; and I
Section 3. THAT this Resolution is effective from and after the date of its passage,
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CITY COUNCIL on
