Unanimous Nays: None, Update on the Liter a[y RemgggLin_q ProleCt j— The Library Remodeling Project is planned to start, by August 1, 2014. The contractor's schedule to learn when demolition wilt start has not yet been d rmined. Discussion of the Robotics Prilogram Eight teens Participated in the, first Robotics Program on Jul y,19, 2014, Fourolderteeups led the event,, Janis demonstrated to the Trustees the 'elephant" c�obot created from the first event. This program is generating a lot of interest. The plan is to offer three of these programs. this summer, There was no formal action taken. apd�ty Manual,�Board Quidefineg for Minutez, 201:3 Discussion of the New Servicles The Friends of the Library gave funds for the "Maker" Room. Janis, visited theDenton Public Library to see their room. Details for our room are still, beingi worked out. One it dependency is the Ci y's, upcoming change to a, new server platform. Once this update is completed, the new computers can be! put in place. The Bookmobile Project (QUality of J Life project) has been piresented to the City Manager and, the project is, ni'm on the official 111st, It will', be cost out and: placed on the 2016 Budget. There was no formal action taken, DisGussion, gn Surnmer Reading Program The Summer Reading Program was modified from ten weeks, to eight weeks. The program ends on August: 2 nd . On August 3 d the Library will kick off its "Back. to,Schood " focus. The Friends of the Library are fonding some of the programs- There was no formal action taken., CSI scusslou onMiscel1angio us Reports and or Topics Ron TestersubmItted his resignation and will retire after 28 years of'service. A public party to celebrate his retirement is p1anned for Wrn in the Program Room on Tuesday, July 22n, at :00p m. No formal action was taken. The next quarterly board meeting is scheduled for October ,20, 2014 at 6-30,PM, ADJOURNMENT Bruce Rider, segonded by Lynda, Brown,, motioned to adjourn the meeting at 711 PM.
