The plans of the expansion were given to Facility Services. Capt. Hall explained the reason for an euthanasia room. Capt. Hall reported the expansion was passed in the current budget. Capt. Hall said the shelter had around $60,000 in donations to be spent on the good of the animals and ask for suggestions. Debra Brantner suggested music in the shelter since studies show a calming for animals. She also suggests Feliway and Adaptil which puts off pheromones that provides stress relieve for cats and dogs. They can be plugged into the wall outlets. She also said they had 3 cat rooms and made one of them into a meet and greet room. Someone had donated money for a dog run in front of their shelter as a visiting area for prospective adopters also. Joy Mayo said it is too loud in the dog run area when the dogs are all barking.
