The HSUS standards on euthanasia was introduced and how the shelter may be able to benefit from using a similar model. • New animal management software. The shelter will soon be using PetPoint as a shelter tool. We will participate in their low-cost microchip program and their gift of insurance to adopters. It will track animals, owners, records, and statistics far better than our program now. • Vaccination and other services for animals. The animals in our care need to receive care comparable to other shelters. We plan to vaccinate and sterilize before adoption soon (projected early 2015).
