30th day of March, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Training Room of Grapevine Police Department, 307 W. Dallas
Rd., Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the following members present to -wit:
Lt. Larry Hallmark Chair, Grapevine Police Department
Joy Mayo Member, Grapevine Citizen
Nancy Snyder Member, Grapevine Citizen
Dr. Jason Steinle Member, Veterinarian
Kristina Valentine Member, Grapevine Animal Services
Loretta Widmann Member, Animal Welfare Representative
constituting a quorum, with Member Loretta Widmann absent, and the following liaison present:
Duff O'Dell, Grapevine City Council

Lt. Hallmark called the meeting to order at 1:08 p.m.
ITEM 1 CITIZEN COMMENTS
Priscilla Davenport made a comment regarding the shelter needs assessment
ITEM 2. CHAIRPERSON OF COMMITTEE
Jason Steinle motioned for Larry Hallmark to be appointed chair if the committee, Joy Mayo seconded,
Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Steinle, Valentine
Nays: None
Absent: Widmann

The Committee was provided a copy of the December 2, 2015 meeting minutes. Jason Steinle made a
motion to approve the minutes, and Kristina Valentine seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Steinle, Valentine
Nays: None
Absent: Widmann

Facebook count of "likes" close to 3,000
Soundproofing installed
Fencing installed (new outdoor kennels)
Needs Assessment—awaiting results
Food program started January 1. Now feeding all animals Nature's Select which is purchased by
the shelter, Adopters get a take home sample and discount when ordering.
No action was taken by the Committee.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Jason Steinle offered a motion to adjourn
the meeting at 2:02 p.m. and Nancy Synder seconded, Motion prevailed by the following vote. -
Ayes: Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Steinle, Valentine
Nays: None
Absent: Widmann
