SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SOFTWARE
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval to renew a maintenance agreement for geographic
information software with ESRI, Inc.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this purchase is currently available in account 20044540-533-1 (Utility
Enterprise Fund/Professional Services/Administration) for$35,000.00.
BACKGROUND:
This procurement will be a sole source contract in accordance with Local Government
Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.022 (a) (7) (A).
This request is to renew the current maintenance agreement to support the software
modules that operate as part of the City's Geographic Information Mapping System. This
contract will provide upgrades and technical support to the system. ESRI, Inc. is the sole
source provider of maintenance for this software. The renewal contract is for one year
beginning October 31, 2012 and ending October 30, 2013.
Staff recommends approval to renew the maintenance agreement with ESRI, Inc. for
geographic information software.
