GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
QR THE CITY MANRGER'S DESIGNEE TO PURCHASE
SPRAY PAD RESURFACING SERVICES FOR PARR PARK
TNROUGH AN ESTAB�ISNED INTERLOCRL AGREEMENT
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a lacal gavernment in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas �ocal Government Code, Chaptar 271
and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791 to enter into an interlocal agreement with
other qualified agencies in the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, The �ocal Govemment Purchasing Caaperative {BuyBoard) is a
qualified purchasing cooperative pragram as authorized by Texas Local Government
Code, Chapter 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has established an interlocal agreement
with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) and wishes to utilize
established contracts meeting all State of Texas bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, The Local Government Purchasing Gooperative {BuyBoard} has an
established contract no. 436-13, Water Treatment Supplies and Equipment, Pool
Coatings and Compounds with Sunbelt Pools; and
WHEREAS, the City af Grapevine, Texas has a need to resurface the spray pad
at Parr Park; and
WHEREAS, all constitutional and statutory prerequisites for the appraval af this
resolution have been met, including but not limited to the fJpen Meetrngs Act; and
WNEREAS, the City Council deems the adoption of this resolutian to be in the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
{JF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correct
and are incorparated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
purchase af spray pad resurfacing services at Parr Park from Sunbelt Pools through an
interlocal agreement with The Lacal Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard)for
an amount not to exceed $38,250.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of spray pad resurFacing services for Parr Park.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of February, 2017.
