SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST
FOR QUOTE FOR CONCRETE WORK
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for quote for
concrete work at the Vineyards Campground & Cabins from Pennington Concrete
Construction.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this purchase is currently available in account 113-43355-312-19-GV15G103
(FEMA Approved Project for Vineyards Campground) for an amount not to exceed
$25,350.00.
BACKGROUND:
Pennington Concrete Construction will provide all materials and labor to pour a new
concrete slab with perimeter beam for the new Pavilion at the Vineyards Campground &
Cabins.
Informal quotes were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids
and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.00. Three quotes were
submitted as noted below. Pennington Concrete Construction submitted the lowest quote
meeting specifications.
Pennington Concrete Construction $25,350.00
D. Hunt Contracting, L.L.C. $30,648.00
Suntex Concrete $34,294.75
Staff recommends approval.
