SUBJECT: GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT
RECOMMENDATION
City Council to consider the mid-year appointment of Robert Blalock to the Golf Course
Advisory Board to fill a vacancy.
BACKGROUND
The Golf Course Advisory Board has a vacant position with a term to expire in 2018. This
position was not filled during the regular appointments last summer due to a lack of
applications.
Council Member Lease has requested Robert Blalock be appointed to fill the vacancy to
the Golf Course Advisory Board.
A copy of Mr. Blalock's application is attached.

Why are you interested in being appointed to this board/commission?
I'm a member of the golf course and have been for 3 years.I think we have the best municipal course in North Texas and would
consider it an honor to serve on the board that help the great employee's who keep it in such great condition and
serve the myriad of consumers who use It.
List any City service and experience, civic organizations, as well as professional activities.
I'm about to be elected the Quartermaster for the VFW,a job I have held in the past.I have held every position for the Runway
Theatre,our local community theatre and I am currently in charge of memberships.I am a member of the Police Alumina Assoc
and work many gates during the city festivals.
What is your educational and occupational experience?
College Graduate,Air traffic Controller,Director of Operations with 200 employee's,Sales Manager with 10 employee's.
I retired from the Federal Government as a Supervisor/Manager with anywhere from 10 to 50 employee's
What other knowledge, experience,or education do you have that is applicable to the
board/commission function?
A 50 year golfer with a love tar the game.70 years of accumulated experience.
What do you believe will be your most significant contribution to the board/commission?
Learning from the current hoard end helping Improve the course
