GRAPEVINE SENIOR CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD
October 4, 2002
The Grapevine Senior Citizens Advisory Board met on October 4, 2002 at the Senior
Activities Center.
The following members were present:
Dr. Edith Pewitt–Chair Pat Frosch– Client Service
Manager at Grace
Dorothy Kritz - Vice Chair Doris Waite
Miriam Bahner - Secretary R. Bruce Walters
Tricia Wood has resigned and appointed Pat Frosch from Grace to replace her.

Edith welcomed everyone to the meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were considered and approved.
Doris Waite said that she had a complaint that the crosswalk buttons can't be reached by
�r people on wheelchairs as they are too high. Ted will take it to the appropriate people.
There was a discussion on how to get more volunteers for the various organizations. The
following ideas were suggested:
Put a volunteer opportunities section in the Grapevine Sun
Specify whether it is a regular job or a temporary job. Also specify what you
will be doing on the job. Example: answering phone, etc.
Go to churches and make an appeal.
Go to various organizations and make an appeal.
We discussed having the Silver Hair Legislature here. It was decided to invite them to
the center on November 1, 2002 with the Board and seniors We could have a couple of
speakers and then have lunch together followed by a short board meeting.
The next meeting will be held on November 1, 2002 at 2 P.M. at the Grapevine Senior
Activities Center.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:55 P.M.
