(IW SENIO ACTIVIT ES ER SECTOR H:GSCAB agenda03/03/03 (iip• GRAPEVINE SENIOR CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD March 7, 2003 The Grapevine Senior Citizens Advisory Board met on March 7, 2003 at 3 P.M.at the Grapevine Senior Activities Center. The following members were present: Dr. Edith Pewitt—Chair Pat Frosch Dorothy Kritz -Vice Chair Doris Waite Miriam Bahner - Secretary A. Bruce Walters Others Present: Linda Gregory Jennifer Hibbs Vanessa McCauley Ted Ware Edith introduced and welcomed everyone to the meeting. There was a discussion on the need for additional help for the Senior Movers Program. It was decided that we don't want to be the pilot for the Over 50 Do You Know project as presented by Charles Cole at the previous meeting. It was moved, seconded and passed that we do not need Email for this project. Flyers can be put in commodities packets and with Meals on Wheels. Announcements can be put in newspapers and the city newsletter to get information out to the seniors rather than the pilot project. Vanessa gave her report on the Senior Movers Program. She said they need more volunteers and they need a step for the minivan to assist handicap people getting on and off the van. An open house will be held on Friday, May 30 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Senior Center. Bruce suggested having the Silver Haired Legislature at a future meeting. The next meeting will be held on May 2,2003 at 2 P.M. at the Grapevine Senior Activities Center. The meeting was adjourned at 4:12 P.M. (hr, Respectfully submitted, Miriam A. Bahner, Secretary
