Boyle, Jr. City Attorney Tara Brooks City Secretary CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Item 1. Citv Council to hear presentations from staff reqardinq the proposed bond ro'ects. City Manager Bruno Rumbelow introduced staff who presented each of the proposed bond projects. Chief Financial Officer Greg Jordan noted there were eight proposed projects totaling $44,128,946. The City has the debt capacity for this amount and none of the projects will require a tax increase. Police Chief Eddie Salame presented the proposed Animal Shelter upgrade and answered Council's questions. The upgrade and expansion follows the recommendations of the needs assessment completed by Shelter Planners of America. The Animal Shelter upgrade and expansion will cost $3,858,507. Fire Chief Darrell Brown presented the proposed construction of Fire House No. 2 at the corner of Dove Road and Kimball Avenue for an estimated cost of $7,988,767 and the construction of Fire House No. 3 on Timberline Drive for an estimated cost of$7,929,971. Golf Director Russell Pulley presented the plans for a multi-use facility at the Grapevine Municipal Golf Course to include replacing the Clubhouse and Concourse, building a new banquet hall, meeting space and restaurant for an estimated cost of $4,755,206. The proposed renovations follow the recommendation of the needs assessment done by SVic Jones and Associates Clubhouse Architects and Interiors. Public Works Director Bryan Beck presented the proposed expansion of Euless Grapevine Road from State Highway 360 to Hughes Road for an estimated cost of $1,177,760, the expansion of Heritage Avenue from Mustang Road to State Highway 26 for an estimated cost of $5,309,470, and the raising of Dove Road for an estimated cost of$5,000,000. Director Beck then presented the proposed Heritage Avenue bridge project which would connect Parr Lane to Heritage Avenue at an estimated cost of$8,109,265. Chief Brown discussed the reductions in emergency response times that would could be expected with the construction of this connection and answered questions from Council. Item 2. Citv Council to conduct a public hearing relative to the staff proposed bond ro�ects.
