SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL LIAISON AND COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider Mayor Tate's appointments of City Council Liaisons and
Committee Members, and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND:
Mayor Tate will appoint Council Members to serve as liaisons to each of the City's
Boards and Commissions including:
• Animal Shelter Advisory Committee • Housing Authority Board of
Commissioners
• Board of Zoning Adjustment • Library Board
• Building Board of Appeals • Metroport Teen Court Advisory
Board
• Convention and Visitors Bureau • Parks and Recreation Board
Board
• Golf Course Advisory Board • Planning and Zoning Commission
• Heritage Foundation Advisory Board • Senior Citizens Advisory Board
• Historic Preservation Commission
Mayor Tate will also appoint Council Members to serve on the following committees:
• Audit Committee • Texas High Speed Rail &
Transportation Corporation
• Economic Development Corporation • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Liaison
• Facilities Committee • Utility Committee
• GCISD Advisory Committee • TIF No. 1 Board of Directors
• Impact Fee Committee • TIF No. 2 Board of Directors
• Open Space Review Committee
