A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF TELEPHONE
EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
THE MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is in need of purchasing telephone
equipment to upgrade the City's existing voice mail system; and
WHEREAS,the Federal General Administrative Services has established a contract
with Toshiba Corporation for this equipment; and
WHEREAS, ICS, Inc. has been authorized by Toshiba as a re-seller of the
equipment under the Federal General Services Administration Contract; and
WHEREAS, The City of Grapevine, Texas is authorized by Local Government Code
Chapter 271, Subchapter G, Section 271.103 (a) (b)to utilize Federal supply schedules of
the United States General Services Administration to the extent permitted by federal law;
and
WHEREAS,the United States General Services Administration has approved local
governments to utilize schedule 70 of the Federal supply schedules.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the Toshiba telephone equipment from ICS, Inc. under GSA contract number
GS35F0252T and authorizes the expenditure of the budgeted amount of$31,083.95.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of these services.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of February, 2010.
