ADJOURNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS MEETING AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 28TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1979, AT 3:00 P.M. 'Shit ley,#rmstrong STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on this the 3rd day of January, 1980 with the following persons present to -wit: A. J. Harper Chairman Jesse Woods Member Gerald Thompson Member Jerry Spencer Member constituting a quorum with Vice -Chairman James Buckner and Member Charles Cox absent, with Shirley Armstrong City Secretary CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman A. J. Harper. OATH OF TRUTH Chairman Harper swore in the applicant, Mr. Ken Stiles. BZA 79-12, KEN STILES. INC. The first order of business was for the Board of Zoning Adjustments to consider BZA Application 79-12 submitted by Ken Stiles, Inc. Chairman Harper explained that the applicant was requesting a one foot variance in the front yard requirement at 912 Glacier Drive,,.or Lot 18, Block 3, Park Place, Second Section. Ue also advised that the house was near completion and the -con- struction error was noted by thetitlecompany when they began closing procedures. There was some discussion among members as to whether the proper positioning of a structure on the lot was the responsi- bility of the builder or the City Building Inspector. Mr. Stiles noted that he accepted full responsibility for the Building Code violation. Member Jesse Woods commented that he would vote affirmative in this instance, but that if a similar error was made in the future, he would not support a motion to allow the variance. There being no further discussion, Member Jerry Spencer made a motion to grant a one foot front yard variance on Lot 18, Block 3, Park Place, Second Section, Grapevine, Texas. The motion was seconded by Member Gerald Thompson and prevailed by the following vote: Ayes : Harper, Woods, Spencer, and Thompson Nays : None Absent: James Buckner and Charles Cox 11 MINUTES The next order of business was consideration of the Minutes of November 8, 1979. Member Gerald Thompson made a motion to waive the reading of the Minutes and approve them as printed. The motion was seconded by Member Jesse Woods and prevailed by the following vote: Ayes : Harper, Woods, Spencer, and Thompson Nays : None Absent: James Buckner and Charles Cox ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Board, Member Jesse Woods made a motion to adjourn.
