HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-10-13BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS On the 13th day of October, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. the Zoning Board of Adjustments of the City of Grapevine met to consider an appeal from Mrs. Phyllis I. Bartlett on construction of a temporary living quarters on her Lot 6, in Shorecrest Acres Addition. Mrs. Bartlett's building permit had been rejected by the City Building Inspector. The following board members were present: Harold Kaker Floyd Deacon A. J. Harper Don Stiles Chairman - member - member - member Don Wilson - City Secretary The following board members were absent: Robert Brown, Bill Yancey and Thomas W. Taylor. Chairman Kaker called the meeting to order. The secretary read a letter from Mrs. Bartlett stating the reason she was making the request for a building that did not conform with the city building codes, and presented the blueprints for the proposed structure. Mrs. Bartlett stated that this was to be a temporary living quarter for herself, until she could secure a loan for a new home, probably a two year period. Chairman Kaker read a letter from Mr. Charles A. Carter", a property owner near Mrs. Bartlett's property. Mrs. Carter was against Mrs. Bartlett's request. There were three citizens present. one was against granting the permit; the others expressed no opinion. Chairman Kaker asked for a brief adjournment for the board to discuss information that had ' d been presented, so the board could render a decision tonight. Board was adjourned. The board was recalled and voted as follows: Ayes: None Noes: Messrs. Kaker, Deacon, Harper and Stiles. Meeting adjourned.
