WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2, 1976
PRESENT: Joe Wright, Conrad Heede, A. J. Harper and Harold Kaker.
ABSENT: Jesse Woods
Chairman Joe Wright called the meeting to oraer.
The first order of business was to give the oath of office to
the new members. City Secretary, Shirley Armstrong, conducted
the oath for newly appointed members, Conrad Heede and A. J.
Harper.
The next order of business wzs consideration of the minutes of
March 22 and 23, 1976. Member Harold Kaker made a motion to
approve the minutes as published. The motion was seconded by
Chairman Joe Wright and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Wright, Heede, Harper and Kaker.
Nays: None
The next order of business was consideration of the application
submitted by Mr. Jerry Bell. (BZA 76-2) Mr. Bell was requesting
a variance in rearyardand front yard setbacks of Lot 9, Block
A of Los Robles Estates. Mr. Bell explained that because of the
unusual shape of the lot, one front corner of his house would be
only 20 feet from the street. He further commented that at one
point, the rear of his house would be only 12 feet from the
property line.
A property owner within 200 feet, Mr. Russell White, stated
that he had no objections to the request. The City Secretary
then stated that she was in receipt of a letter from another
property owner, Mr. David A. Prentice, which stated that he had
no objections to granting the request.
After little discussion, Member Harold Kaker made a motion to
grant the front and rear yard..variances requested by Mr. Bell.
The motion was seconded by Member Conrad Heede and prevailed
by the following vote:
Ayes: Wright, Heede, Harper and Kaker.
Nays: None
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE DAY OF 1976.
