ADJOURNMENT INACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS MEETING AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 26TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1978, AT 9:00 A.M. X-RONG CI SEC RY THE STATE OF TEXAS I COUNTY OF TARRANT The Board of Zoning Adjustments met on this the 30th day of October, 1978, at 4:30 P.M. with the following members present: A. J. Harper Jesse Woods Jerry Spencer Tommy Zimmerer Charles Cox Chairman Vice -Chairman Member Member Member constituting a quorum with Juanita Bond, Acting Secretary, and J. R. Baddaker, City Engineer, with James Buckner absent. The meeting was called to order by Chairman A.J. Harper. APPLICATION NO. BZA78-3 The first order of business was for the Board of Zoning Adjustments to consider Application No. BZA78-3 submitted by McDonald's Corporation requesting a ten (10') foot variance in the fifty (50') foot Sign Ordinance. Chairman Harper asked the Acting Secretary if there were any letters or telephone calls objecting to this application. There were none. Mr. Larry D. Morton and Mr. Ed Baderman, McDonald Representa- tives, both made a short presentation as to why the ten (10') foot variance should be allowed. J. R. Baddaker, City Engineer, introduced a State Highway" Department Geometric Design Map for Highway 114 and pointed out the elevation of the road at the 157 Interchange, 121 Interchange, Main Street Interchange, and the approximate ground elevation and location of the sign on the Highway Department map. Chairman Harper declared the Public Hearing closed and informed Mr. Morton and Mr. Baderman that they might stay in the meeting during the discussion by the Board of Zoning Adjustments members. After a lengthy discussion, Member Jesse Woods made a motion that the application for the ten (10') foot variance be de- nied. The motion was seconded by Member Tommy Zimmerer, and prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Woods, Spencer, Zimmerer, and Cox Nays: Harper Absent: Buckner MINUTES The minutes of October 4, 1978, will be considered at the next Board of Zoning Adjustments meeting. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Member Jesse Woods made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Member Jerry Spencer, and prevailed by the following vote: I Ayes: Harper, Woods, Spencer, Zimmerer, and Cox Nays: None Absent: Buckner eA PASSED AND APPROVED on this the day of 1978.
