SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC
CONDUIT INSTALLATION
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval to renew an annual contract with Multiple Cable
Systems, Inc. for a traffic conduit installation.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this purchase is currently available in account 174-43301-415-093 (PCMF
Transportation) for an estimated annual amount of$25,000.00.
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this bid is to provide underground conduit installation for traffic signal and
electrical on an as-needed basis.
Bids were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy in 2015. Formal bids and
advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.00. An informal bid was
issued through the City's eBid system. The contract was for an initial one-year period with
four, one-year optional renewal options. If approved, this will be the second renewal
option.
Staff recommends approval.
