SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST FOR
QUOTE TO PURCHASE LIGHT POLES AND FIXTURES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for
quote to purchase light poles and fixtures for Hudgins Street from C.E.D.
for the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 121-44540-415-013-
000036 for an amount not to exceed $24,800.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for new antique style street light poles and fixtures for
Hudgins Street between Ball Street and Church Street. Upon installation,
the Hudgins Street project will be completed.
Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal
bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.
Three vendors submitted quotations. C.E.D. submitted the lowest
responsive and responsible quotes meeting specifications.

Dealers Electric Supply $25,976
Staff recommends approval.
