SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST FOR
QUOTE TO PURCHASE WATER FOUNTAINS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for
quote to purchase water fountains for the Parks and Recreation
Department from Morrison Supply Company.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 174-74015-312-059
(water fountain replacement) for an amount not to exceed $22,854.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for seven new water fountains. Parr Park (2), Meadow
Park (1), Yorkshire Meadows (1), Glade Landing (1) and Bear Creek Park
(1).
Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal
bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.
Three vendors submitted quotations. Morrison Supply Company submitted
the lowest responsive and responsible quotes meeting specifications.
