SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR POLICE
UNIFORM CLEANING SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for police
uniform cleaning services with Grapevine Cleaners for the Police
Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 117-42220-209-004
(Clothing Supplies) for an annual estimated amount of $25,000.
BACKGROUND: The Police Department acquired a single annual contract provider to clean
department issued uniforms.
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The contract
was for an initial one-year period with two, one-year renewal options. If
approved, this will be for the second and final renewal available.
Staff recommends approval.
