We have received your "Notice of Public Hearing" for the above -
referenced Master Plan Update, some of which would purportedly apply to
land owned by the Cities of Dallas and Fort Worth as a part of DFW Airport.
We want to remind you that, as applied to DFW Airport property, the
proposed Master Plan Update will have no force, effect or legitimate purpose
since the City of Grapevine is prohibited by Texas Transportation Code
Section 22.074 from taking any action "purporting to regulate the use or
development of property" at DFW Airport. The DFW Airport Board will
continue to make land use decisions affecting Airport property within the
City of Grapevine because state law gives it the exclusive power to do so.
It will not be bound in any way by Grapevine's efforts to assert such
authority.
