The Library Board of the Grapevine Public Library of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular
Session on the 21St day of January, 2619, at 6:30PM in the Board Room, Grapevine Public
Library, 1201 Municipal Way, with the following members present to-wit:
Janice Cook Chairman
Lynda Brown Member
Susan Peabody Secretary
Gerald Shannon Member
Janee Trasler Member
Debbie Venable Member
constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff:
Janis Roberson Library Director
Duff O'Dell City Council Liaison
Karen Smith, Member, was not in attendance.
CALL TO ORDER
Janice Cook called the meeting to order at 6:36PM.
CITIZEN COMMENTS — none
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Motion by Lynda Brown, seconded by Debbie Venable, to approve the October 15, 2018 meeting
minutes as written:
Ayes: Unanimous
Nays: None
Update on the Fee Ordinance
Janis reported that the new Fee Ordinance passed unanimously and went into effect immediately.
There was no formal action taken.
Update_ori the Moble Lek I
Janis reported that the shell for the Mobile Library has been completed and shipped to Ohio. The
interior has been designed and is being built. Janis displayed the blueprint of the interior plans.
The artwork for the exterior of the shell is in the design concept phase. No defined delivery date
yet. There was no formal action taken.

Report on ALSC Grant
Janis announced that the Grapevine Library was awarded a $5,000 grant via the ALSC which was
sponsored by Dollar General. On December 14t", Janis received an email that our library was one
of fifteen libraries in the United States and the only library in Texas to receive such a grant. The
monies have been used to purchase special items for the new Mobile Library. There was no
formal action taken.
Update on Friends Fundraising Pro's
Janis reported that the Friends raised over$1600 at their December Artisan Marketplace—their
best number ever. The Friends funded $3200 in projects for the library in November. And the
Friends will be presented with another list of projects to fund at tomorrow night's Friends meeting.
There was no formal action taken.
The next quarterly board meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2019 at 6:30PM.
ADJOURNMENT
Gerald Shannon, seconded by Susan Peabody, motioned to adjourn the meeting at6:57PM. The
motion prevailed by the following vote
