SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNNUAL CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL
SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for janitorial
services for City facilities with Regent Services.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in the budgeted amount by each
department for an annual estimated amount of $550,000.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for
janitorial services to be performed at various City facilities.
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The contract
was for an initial one-year period with four, one-year renewal options. If
approved, this will be for the first renewal available.
Staff recommends approval.
