SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR PARKS
JANITORIAL SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for parks
janitorial services with PureService Corporation for the Parks and
Recreation Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 100-44540-312-3
(Professional Services) for an annual estimated amount of $300,000.00.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is for janitorial services to be performed at
various parks, medians, right-of-ways, outdoor facility hardscaping, open
spaces, and outdoor athletic complexes within the city.
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The contract
was for an initial one-year period with four, one-year renewal options. If
approved, this will be for the second renewal available.
Staff recommends approval.
