TRIPLETT, JR, PLANNER II DATE: JANUARY 5, 2010 SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST CU10 -35, LOT 12, BLOCK 6, METROPLACE 2ND INSTALLMENT RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Site Plan Review Committee consider the proposed changes to Conditional Use Request CU10 -24 (Ord. 2010 -59) approved at the October 19, 2010 meeting for an automobile dealership with new and used car sales to allow a 40 -foot pole sign, specifically to allow revisions to the exterior elevations and take any other action necessary. BACKGROUND INFORMATION At the February 18, 1997 meeting City Council granted approval of CU97 -08 (Ord. 97- 84) for an auto dealership with new and used car sales and a thirty -two (32) foot pole sign. Conditional Use Permit CU97 -59 (Ord. 97 -137) was approved at the December 2, 1997 meeting amending the approved site plan to reconfigure and relocate buildings, the addition of off - street and display parking, and a waiver to Section 47.E.2 in accordance with Section 47.F. Conditional Use Permit CU10 -24 (Ord. 2010 -24) was approved at the October 19, 2010 meeting to allow replacement of a 32 -foot pole sign, with a 40 -foot, 227 - square foot pole sign for increased visibility. With this request the applicant intends to revise the exterior elevations of the new car and used car show rooms and the service /parts building on the subject site. The three buildings elevation revisions include but are not limited to new facia, parapet, soffit and entry. The building footprints are remaining the same. /at oAZCU \CU 10- 35.4sprc # .,-, ,;..(- „.`.•-w..... ¢ "xP:,:.,,,,s„t.,.,J....`_ -, ..,`` .n ,»„ € :.
