SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT-AN-AREA
AGREEMENT WTH EDWARD JONES INVESTMENTS/TAMMY
KESTERSON FOR CHAMPAGNE BOULEVARD, FROM GLADE
ROAD TO W. D. TATE SERVICE ROAD
RECOMMENDATION.-
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommends the Council approve an
Adopt-An-Area agreement with Edward Jones Investmentsframmy Kesterson for
Champagne. Boulevard, from Glade Road to W. D. Tate Service Road. A copy of the
agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING:SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of
the signage for this is approximately $1.50 and will come from the Grounds. Maintenance
Account'100=42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years, and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. If the Council approves this agreement, there
will' be.-a total-of 58 areas in Grapevine that have been adopted for maintenance. The
Parks& Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at their February 18, 2010
meeting;, Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
