COUNTY OF TARRANT
CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The Building Board of Appeals for the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular session, Monday
evening, April 12, 1993, at 6:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, Room #205, 307 West Dallas,
Road, Grapevine, Texas, with the following members present:
Joe Lipscomb
Chairman
Art Gordon
Member
Dennis Roberts
Member
constituting a quorum with members Vernie Henderson and Greg Czapanskiy absent. Also
present was Council Representative, Ted Ware, and the following City Staff:
Greg Wheeler Building Official
Paula Pennington Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Joe Lipscomb called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
NEW BUSINESS
BBA 93-03 ART PIERCE
An application was submitted to the Building Inspection Division of Community Development
by Mr. Art Pierce to request two variances. The variances are to place a fence in the required
front yard of a corner lot, and for the posts to be four (4) feet high which would exceed the
maximum height of three (3) feet allowed.
Greg Wheeler, Building Official explained the case to the Board.
With no one else to speak for or against the request, Art Gordon made a motion to close the
public hearing, Dennis Roberts seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts
Nays: None
Absent: Henderson, Czapanskiy
Dennis Roberts then made a motion to grant the variance, Art Gordon seconded the motion
which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts
Nays: None
Absent: Henderson, Czapanskiy
MINUTES
The Building Board of Appeals considered the minutes of the March 8, 1993. Art Gordon made
a motion to approve the minutes, Dennis Roberts seconded which prevailed by the following
vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts
Nays: None
Absent: Henderson, Czapanskiy
MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS AND DISCUSSION
Greg Wheeler, Building Official updated the Board on the carwash located at 214 West
Northwest Highway and informed them that it would be on the agenda for the May 10, 1993,
meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further discussion, Dennis Roberts made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Art Gordon
seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts
Nays: None
Absent: Henderson, Czapanskiy
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 P.M.
