The Building Board of Appeals for the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular session, Monday
evening, September 20, 1993, at 6:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, Room #205, 307 West
Dallas Road, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present:
Joe Lipscomb
Chairman
Vernie Henderson
Member
Art Gordon
Member
Greg Czapanskiy
Member
constituting a quorum with member Dennis Roberts absent. Also present was Council
Representative, Ted Ware and the following City Staff:
Greg Wheeler Building Official
Paula Pennington Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Joe Lipscomb called the meeting to oder at 6:30 P.M.
MINUTES
The Buildng Board of Appeals considered the minutes of the August 9, 1993. Art Gordon made
a motion to approve the minutes, Greg Czapanskiy seconded the motion which prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes:
Lipscomb, Henderson, Gordon, Czapanskiy
Nays:
None
Absent:
Roberts
MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS AND DISCUSSION
Greg Wheeler, Building Official updated the Board on Jet Age Car Wash.
An application was submitted to the Building Inspection Division of Community Development
by Mr. Joseph T. Burbridge, for the fence located at 5314 Glade Lane. Staff believes other
alternatives would be better suited to remedy the situation rather than a two and one half (2 1/2)
foot extension on the existing (8) eight foot fence.
Mr. Burbridge was present an spoke in favor of his case.
With no one else to speak for or against the request, Greg Czapanskiy made a motion to close
the public hearing. Vernie Henderson seconded the motion which prevailed by the following
vote:
Ayes:
Lipscomb, Henderson, Gordon, Czapanskiy
Nays:
None
Absent:
Roberts
Art Gordon then made a motion to deny the variance, Vernie Henderson seconded the motion
which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes:
Lipscomb, Henderson, Gordon, Czapanskiy
Nays:
None
Absent:
Roberts
ADJOURNMENT
With no further discussion Art Gordon made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Vernie Henderson
seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes:
Lipscomb, Henderson, Gordon, Czapanskiy
Nays:
None
Absent:
Roberts
The meeting as adjourned at 6:50 P.M.
