The Building Board of Appeals for the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular session, Monday
evening July 11, 1994, at 6:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, Room #205, 307 West Dallas
Road, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present:
Joe Lipscomb
Chairman
Art Gordon
Member
Dennis Roberts
Member
Catherine Smith
Member
Russell Kidd
Member
constituting a quorum with members Greg Czapanskiy and Tim Long absent. Also present was
Council Representative, Teri Ware and the following City Staff:
H. T. (Tommy) Hardy Director of Community Development
Paula Pennington Secretary
Gerrie Anderson Administrative Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Joe Lipscomb called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
OATH OF OFFICE
Gerrie Anderson administered the Oath of Office to Joe Lipscomb, Art Gordon, Dennis Roberts
who were reappointed and to the new members, Catherine Smith, Russell Kidd
BBA 94-09 ROGER RIEKENBERG
An application was submitted to the Department of Community Development by. Roger
Riekenberg, for the structure located for the proposed fencing to be located at 506 Dunn Court,
Lot 12, Block 1, Lakeside Estates.
H. T. (Tommy) Hardy, Director of Community Development explained the case to the Board.
Mr. Roger Riekenberg owner of 506 Dunn Court was present and spoke for his case.
With no one else to speak for or against the request, Dennis Roberts made a motion to close the
public hearing. Art Gordon seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts, Smith, Kidd
Nays: None
Absent: Czapanskiy, Long
Art Gordon then made a motion to grant the variance as requested, Catherine Smith seconded
the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts, Smith, Kidd
Nays: None
Absent: Czapanskiy, Long
BBA 94-10 KEN LOWS ELLIOTT'S HARDWARE
An application was submitted to the Department of Community Development by Mr. Ken Lowe,
General Manager representing Elliott's Hardware, for the proposed fencing to be located at 108
West Northwest Highway. The applicant has experienced security problems in the outside
storage area.
H. T. (Tommy) Hardy explained the case to the Board.
Ken Lowe spoke for the case representing Elliott's.
With no one else to speak for or against the request, Russell Kidd made a motion to close the
public hearing, Dennis Roberts
Catherine Smith then made a motion to approve the variance as requested, Dennis Roberts
seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Lipscomb, Gordon, Roberts, Smith, Kidd
Nays: None
Absent: Czapanskiy, Long
ADJOURNMENT
With no further discussion, Dennis Roberts made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Art Gordon
seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes:
Nays:
Absent:
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 P.M.
