SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT-AN-AREA
AGREEMENT WITH BOX INSURANCE AGENCY FOR WALL
STREET, FROM PARK BOULEVARD TO DOVE ROAD
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve an
Adopt-An-Area agreement with Box Insurance Agency for Wall Street, from Park
Boulevard to Dove Road. A copy of the agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of
the signage for this is approximately $100 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. If the Council approves this agreement, there
will be a total of 62 areas in Grapevine that have been adopted for maintenance. The
Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at their August 19t�
meeting. Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
