SUBJECT: COUNCIL TO CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ADOPT-AN-AREA
AGREEMENT WITH DFW SURF FOR THE SHORELINE
ADJACENT TO THE KATIES WOODS BOAT RAMP
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve an
Adopt-An-Area agreement with DFW Surf for the shoreline adjacent to the Katie' s
Woods Boat Ramp. A copy of the agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of
the signage for this is approximately $150 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation' Advisory Board
approved the agreement at their October 14th meeting. The Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board and staff recommend approval of the agreement.
