FRIENDS OF GBS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the appointment recommendations of the board
members to the Friends of Grapevine Baseball Softball for 2019-2021

BACKGROUND: Mayor & Council,
The recommendations below are for the Friends of Grapevine Baseball
Softball (GBS) Board to serve for the next two-year term. Their terms will
end in 2021. According to the Friends of GBS By -Laws, Section V,
directors shall be elected or appointed by the City of Grapevine City
Council, and shall serve two-year terms from the date of appointment. The
year 2019 marks the end of the original two-year appointments for the
Friends of GBS Board.
As Director of Parks & Recreation and a voting member of the board,
recommend the following members for the next two-year appointments:
Mike Richmond — President
Frances Jensen —Vice President
Christian Ross — Secretary
Thomas Macmahon
Kevin McNamara
Jarvis Boyd
Staff recommends approval.
