SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT RFB 363-
2 11 FOR CABIN HOUSECLEANING SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval forte renewal of an annual contract RFB 363-2011
with TCB Landscaping and Cleaning Services, Inc., for cabin housecleaning services.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account 119-44540-312-9 (Lake Park Funds/Lake Parks/
Professional Services) in the estimated amount of$55,000.
BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The bid advertisement was posted in
the Fort Worth Star Telegram on February 23 and March 2, 2011. The bid was opened
publicly on March 18, 2011.
The purpose of this bid was to establish fixed annual pricing for cabin housekeeper
services for 13 cabin its and restrooms at The Vineyards Campground & Cabins for
the Parks and Recreation Department. Council awarded the contract on April 19, 2011
with three, one-year optional renewals. If approved, this will be forte second renewal
option o f t he three available.
Staff reviewed all the bids received and found TCB Landscaping and Cleaning Services,
Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. This vendor has provided these
services tote City with satisfactory results and has agreed to renew the contract with
no increase in pricing.
Staff recommends approval.
