Session- on the 21St, day of October, 2019, at 6:30PM in the Board Room, Grapevine Publ'c
Library, 1201 Municipal Way. The following members present to-wit:

constituting a quorum, with the following member of the City Staff:

CALL TO ORDER
Janice Cook called the meeting to order at 6:30PM.

Motion by Debbie Venable, seconded by Lynda Brown, to approve the July 15, 2019 meeti g
minutes as written:

Update on the Mobile Library
Ruth reported that GROW van unveiling event received very positive feedback. A "Trunk or
Treat" event is planned for Halloween. Due to the lack of one driver, there are no routine stols
yet scheduled other than Tuesdays for 2-3 hours and special events when the Fleet supplies a
driver. There was no formal action taken.
Report on Sensory:Inclusive Certification
Ruth reported that;the library is-partnering with Parks & Rec to help young adults with sensory
¢ issues to have weekly visits to the library. There has been a lot of press and inquiries about

this new program, including a visit by the Parras "Sister City" personnel. There was no formal
action taken.
Update on Upcoming Library Programs
Ruth shared highlights about several upcoming special programs. Gadget Gourmet, Celtic '
music,'Halloween spooky tales, and Day of the Dead programs are planned. There was no.
formal action taken.
Update on Next Board Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2020.'There was no formal action taken:

Susan Peabody, seconded by Gerald Shannon, motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:58PM. The
motion prevailed by the following vote
