Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the
Convention & Visitors Bureau Board under Citizen Comments or on any
other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with
staff. A member of the public may address the CVBB regarding an item
on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the
item, upon being recognized by the Board Chair or upon consent of the
CVBB. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the CVBB is
restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments.

MINUTES
The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors met in Regular Session
on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Hilton DFW Lakes Executive
Conference Center, 1800 State Highway 26E, Grapevine, Texas with the following
persons in attendance.-

Grapevine City Council.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Szymaszek called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Mark Terpening, seconded by Iain Scouller to approve minutes from the
November 14, 2019 meeting prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Szymaszek, Terpening, Scouller and Meek

NEW BUSINESS
Introduction of New Staff
Mr. McCallum introduced staff members new to the CVB since December 2018. They
included Jamie Clark, Noah Graham, Clayton Bradford, Jillian French, Abby Morales,
Kelly Galizio, Heather Egan, Danielle Anderson, Elec Winner, Tony Adamo, Nicholas
Cardenas, Johnny Borghesi and Gary Vest.
No action taken by the Board.
At 7:42 p.m. Chairman Szymaszek suspended the Board Meeting.
At 8:14 p.m. Chairman Szymaszek resumed the Board Meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
Year End Review
Mr. McCallum introduced a video prepared by Marketing depicting pictures of
employees in their working and hospitality environment and statistics for 2019.
Legends of Grapevine Tourism and Hospitality Award
Mr. McCallum announced the Class of 2020 Don Bigbie Legends of Grapevine Tourism
and Hospitality award recipient, Dr. Curtis Ratliff. Dr. Ratliff has played a key role in
multiple areas of historic preservation and hospitality for the City of Grapevine. Dr.
Ratliff will be honored at a ceremony in February as set forth in the criteria for the
award.
Staff Awards
Mr. McCallum recognized Iona Robbins, Train Supervisor and Nick Basiliadis, Train
Service Personnel II who will be retiring early in 2020 and thanked them for their many
years of service.
Mr. McCallum presented Directors Awards to Matthew Keefover, Roundhouse
Mechanic Supervisor and Kimberly Prack, Nash Farm. Rookie of the Year award was
presented to Abby Morales, Sponsorship Sales Manager; Unsung Hero award to Paula
Newman, Managing Director of Finance, Administration and Operations; Joey Wilkins
Can Do award to JoLynn Green, Accountant III; and Employee of the Year award to the
Convention Sales Team: National Sales Managers Connie Ash, Eleanor George, Codi
Missimo, Elizabeth Mullis and Naomi Saenz.
No action taken by the Board.

There being no further business to come before the board a motion by Iain Scouller,
seconded by Mark Terpening to adjourn the meeting at 8:48 p.m. prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Szymaszek, Terpening, Scouller and Meek
Nays: None
