SUBJECT: ADOPT-AWAREA AGREEMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks& Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve Adopt-
An-Area agreements with Magnus LaDue for the Big Bear Creek Trail, from Bear Creek
Park to the pond at the Church at the Cross and with Demmilee Video Productions for the
shoreline at Lake Grapevine, from the Trawick Boat Ramp to the Dove Loop Boat Ramp.
Copies of the agreements are attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-An-Area signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of the
signage for this is approximately $150 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The proposed agreements are for a period of two years and require the applicants to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
approved the agreements at their February 16, 2012 meeting. The Board and staff
recommend approval of the agreements.
