SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT -AN -AREA AGREEMENT
WITH THE LAKE GRAPEVINE RUNNERS AND WALKERS CLUB
FOR HORSESHOE TRAILS PARK
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve an
Adopt -An -Area agreement with the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers Club for
Horseshoe Trails Park. A copy of the agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt -An -Area signage would be placed at both ends of these areas. The total cost of the
signage for this is approximately $100 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100 - 42205 - 312 -3.
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick up
litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved
the agreement at their January 16, 2014 meeting. The Board and staff recommend
approval of the agreement.
