Conditional Use Request C U 10 -33 addressed as 1101 west State Highway
114, and consideration of same.
C. Site Plan Review Committee to consider a public hearing relative to
Conditional Use Request CU 10- 35 addressed as 501 West State Highway
114, and consideration of same

The Site Plan Review Committee of the city of Grapevine, Texas net in Session, on
this the 5th day of January 2011, in the Development Services Director's Office, 200
South plain Street, First Floor, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present -to-
wit:

Larry Oliver called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION CU10 -17 - BAND OF THE WEST
First for the Committee to consider was conditional use application CU10 -17 submitted
by USA Shade and Fabric Structures on property located at 103 vilest Northwest
Highway and platted as Lot 1A, Block 1, Elliott's Hardware Addition. The applicant was
requesting a conditional use permit to amend the previously approved site plan of
CU09 -35 (Ord. 09 -45) to extend approval of a temporary bank facility to October 12,
2012, specifically to allow shade structures for fifty seven (57) parking spaces.
After a brief discussion regarding the temporary building Darlene Freed moved to
remove this application from the Site Plan Review Committee agenda and place it on
the city Council and Planning and Zoning commission public hearing agenda. Scott
Williams seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Oliver, Freed and Williams
Nays: None
CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION CU10 -33 - CLASSIC CHEVROLET
Next for the Committee to consider was conditional use application CU10 -33 submitted
by compass Christian church on property located at 1101 west State Highway 114 and

platted as Lot 1A, Block 1A, Durant Addition. The applicant was requesting a
conditional use permit to amend the previously approved site plan of CU98-71 (Ord. 99-
10) for a planned commercial center for new and used car sales with shade structures
on site, specifically to allow a tunnel type car wash.
After a brief discussion, Darlene Freed moved to approve conditional use application
CU10-33. Scott Williams seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Oliver, Freed and Williams
Nays: None
CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION CU 10-35 - FREEMAN BUICK/GMC
Next for the Committee to consider was conditional use application CU10-35 submitted
by The Ratliff Group LLC on property located at 501 West State Highway 114 and
platted as Lot 12, Block 6, Metroplace Addition 2nd Installment. The applicant was
requesting a conditional use permit to amend the previously approved site plan of
CU10-24 (Ord. 2010-59) for an automobile dealership with new and used car sales to
allow a 40-foot pole sign, specifically to allow revisions to the exterior elevations.
After a brief discussion, Darlene Freed moved to approve conditional use application
C1 1 0-35. Scott Williams seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Oliver, Freed and Williams
Nays: None
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Next for the Committee to consider were the revised Site Plan Review Committee
minutes of October 6, 2010.
Darlene Freed moved to approve the revised Site Plan Review Committee minutes of
October 6, 2010 as written. Larry Oliver seconded the motion, which prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes:
Oliver and Freed
Nays:
None
Abstain:
Williams

With no further business to discuss, Larry Oliver adjourned the meeting at 3:49 p.m.
