SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ADOPT-AN-AREA AGREEMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks& Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve Adopt-
An-Area agreements with the following groups. Copies eft agreements are affached for
review.
• IronTex Triathlon for Lakeview Park shoreline, from the north boat ramp to Slough
Drive
• Groovy Grooms forte William D. Tate Avenue service road on SH 121, from
Mustang Drive to Timberline Drive
FUNDING SOURCE. :
Adopt-An-Area signage would be placed at both ends oft ese areas. The total cost of the
signage for this is approximately $150 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The proposed agreement is for a period oft o years and requires the applicant to pick up
litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved
the agreement at their March 21, 2013 meeting. The Board and staff recommend approval
of the agreements.
