CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special
Session on this the 8th day of September, 1992 at 6: 30 p.m. in the
DuPont Suite, Room 918-920, East Wing of the DFW Airport Hilton
Executive Conference Center, 1800 East Highway 26, with the
following members present to-wit:
William D. Tate Mayor
Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
Sharron Spencer Council Member
' Jerry L. Pittman Council Member
Will Wickman Council Member
constituting a quorum, with Council Member C. Shane Wilbanks and
Council Member Gil Traverse absent, with the following members of
the City Staff:
Trent Petty Interim City Manager
Michael Webb Assistant to the City Manager
� CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m.
WORKSHOP
Interim City Manager Trent Petty led the City Council in discussion
of the following topics: (1) proposed Sentry Environmental
Landfill to be located in southern Denton County and the
possibility of future contamination to Lake Grapevine; (2) status
report on the construction of the Wallis Hotel; (3) implementation
of payroll deductions for United Way/G.R.A.C.E. campaign for 1993;
(4) implementation of self-insurance program involving a Third ,
Party Administrator to manage the program and pay claims rather
than an insurance company; and (5) miscellaneous discussion
relative to economic development activities, changes in the
Municipal Golf Course operations and sale of wine bottled at local
wineries.
There was no action taken by the City Council.

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Pro Tem Ware, seconded by Council Member Pittman, made a
motion to adjourn at 8 :45 p.m. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
