Bids were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.00. Eight bid packages were requested by vendors. Three bids were received. The contract was for an initial one -year period with four one -year renewal options. If approved, this would be the third renewal of the four one -year renewal options available. The purpose of this contract is to purchase traffic pavement marking materials on an as- needed basis by the Traffic Operations Division. Staff reviewed all bids received and determined Centerline Supply, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications. Centerline Supply, Inc. has agreed to renew the contract with no increase in pricing. Staff recommends approval. 2/25/2014 (2:56:21 PM)
