SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF SECURITY CAMERAS FOR THE REC PARKING LOT AND INDOOR
LOCATIONS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the sole source purchase and
installation of security cameras for The REC parking lot and indoor
locations from Schneider Electric for the Parks and Recreation
Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Recreation Repairs and Maintenance budget
(174-74015-312-069) for an amount not to exceed $173,269.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is being made as a part of the Parks and Recreation
security plan that was presented to the Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board and the City Council.This purchase will provide coverage to The
REC parking lot, The REC Field, drop-off zones for children and key blind
spots inside The REC of Grapevine.
This procurement will be made as a sole source in accordance with Local
Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, § 252.022. General
Exemptions (a)(7)(A).
Staff recommends approval.
