A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY
SURPLUS; PROVIDING FOR THE DONATION OF SAID
PROPERTY TO THE TEXAS A&M FOREST SERVICE
HELPING HANDS PROGRAM AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Grapevine is in possession of
surplus property of Scott Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and equipment; and
WHEREAS, these items have exceeded their life expectancy and are no longer used
by the Grapevine Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, these items would greatly enhance the effectiveness of another entity's
fire program and enable them to better service their community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That the following items are declared surplus and are authorized for
donation to the Texas A&M Forest Service Helping Hands Program:
(52) Scott Air Packs complete
(42) 45 minute SCBA air cylinders
(45) Scott regulators
(25) Scott face pieces
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to donate the
above surplus items to the Texas A&M Forest Service Helping Hands Program.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS on this the 1st day of April, 2014.
