Tate Mayor Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem Sharron Spencer Council Member C. Shane Wilbanks Council Member Gil Traverse Council Member Jerry L. Pittman Council Member Will Wickman Council Member constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff: Mark S. Watson City Manager Kelvin Knauf Assistant City Manager Adrienne C. Leonard Assistant City Attorney Linda Huff City Secretary CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 7 : 08 p.m. ITEM 1 . PUBLIC HEARING, INTENT TO INCREASE TAX RATE Mayor Tate declared open the public hearing for the purpose of a statement of intent to increase the tax rate as calculated to the Property Tax Code. City Manager Mark S. Watson offered comments on the proposed tax rate increase noting that the proposed effective tax rate for FY90 is $ . 39 per $100 valuation. The proposal is to increase the , effective tax rate from $ . 39 to $ . 4275 per $100 valuation, a 7. 95$ increase over the effective tax rate. No one requested to speak and there was no correspondence to report. There being no comments by any member of the audience or the City Council, a motion to close the public hearing was made by Council Member Traverse. Council Member Spencer offered a second and the motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Traverse , Pittman & Wickman Nays : None ADJOURNMENT Council Member Pittman offered a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7: 15 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Ware and prevailed as follows: Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Traverse, Pittman & Wickman Nays : None PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of September , 1989 . { � � r 09/05/89 � � � � � APPROVED: � � � i �§ 3 William D.
