RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal quote for rental equipment
from Kirby -Smith Machinery, Inc.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds for this purchase are available in account 116- 48941 - 535 -1- 000013 (Rustic Lane
Drainage Improvements) in the amount not to exceed $42,720.00.

Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and
advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Two vendors submitted
quotations and one no bid it.
Of the two quotes received, Kirby -Smith Machinery, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive
and responsible quote. See below.
Kirby -Smith Machinery, Inc. $42,720.00
Fox Rental $51,600.00
Rental One No Bid
This rental agreement will secure the rental of two pieces of equipment to be used in the
storm drain pipe installation in the Rustic channel. This equipment is not covered under
the current City rental contract due to the size and frequency of use.
Staff recommends approval.
